Garry Carter

Author

Born in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK in 1961, Garry is a former environmental scientist who spent 25 years advising on contaminated land. With a lifelong passion for reading and writing, he’s always been drawn to the boundaries between science and imagination.

His debut novel, Realms of the Multiverse, blends science fiction and fantasy to explore themes of parallel universes, alien civilizations, and the infinite possibilities of the multiverse. The book marks the beginning of an ambitious series—an idea first sparked in the late '90s. Though Garry began writing the series in 1999, career demands and family life meant progress was slow. Now retired, he finally has the time and energy to fully dedicate himself to the worlds he’s created.

Garry’s scientific background and deep appreciation for varied landscapes and environments shape the vivid settings and ideas within his work. Inspired by great storytellers like Gene Roddenberry and the Star Trek universe, his writing invites readers to explore the unknown with a sense of wonder, curiosity, and just a touch of mischief.

Known for his sarcastic wit and quick humour, Garry is also enjoying retirement by picking up new hobbies—learning piano and sharpening his guitar skills, proving it’s never too late to try something new.
